The Asiwaju Benson Akindeju Spelling Bee

The Asiwaju Benson Akindeju spelling bee/Mathspedia competition, held annually, and involving schools and religious institutions, carries on the legacy of the Late MD of AK Media Concept, Asiwaju Benson Akindeju. Winners receive a minimum of N300,000 in scholarships, courtesy of SPACA Youths.

Attendance has surged from around 150, in the inaugural edition, to over 500 attendees in 2023, with approximately 150 participants from 47 schools and institutions.

While primarily for Lagos schools, past editions have seen participants from Delta, Ogun, Ibadan, and Anambra.

With a focus on impacting young lives, fostering confidence through educational programs, discovering talents, and giving back to society, this event has run for 6 editions.
